Traditional updates and pictures from users’ friends will also be available in the app, but they will be kept separate from the news stories.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">In terms of visual style and navigation, Paper appears very similar to news-curating app Flipboard. Users’ navigate through Paper with a series of swipes; going from left to right to flip through stories, and pulling up or down to expand or shrink content.

Users can also tilt their phone to pan through panorama photos whilst small, context-rich ‘cards’ are used to compress stories. This latter concept is becoming increasingly common online, with both Twitter and Google Now using these small packages of information to break up the ‘firehose’ of information online.

Paper is the first major step in Facebook’s ambitions to create “new and engaging types of mobile experience” in 2014,and some commentators believe that the app might even supplant Facebook’s current offering.

Paper doesn’t offer quite as many features as the standalone version of Facebook, but plenty of other apps have won over users by offering them a single service as simply as possible. Complex navigation doesn’t always transfer well from PCs to mobile, and Paper looks to offer a stripped down approach to Facebook that could appeal to many.
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Source: Facebook launch...

Google used it to demonstrate that concepts like “cat” can be learned from unlabeled YouTube images, to improve speech recognition in the Google app by 25%, and to build image search in Google Photos. DistBelief also trained the Inception model that won Imagenet’s Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge in 2014, and drove our experiments in automated image captioning as well as DeepDream.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Today google proud to announce the open source release of TensorFlow -- his second-generation machine learning system, specifically designed to correct these shortcomings. TensorFlow is general, flexible, portable, easy-to-use, and completely open source. Adobe’s Project Comet Is a Start-to-Finish UX Design App

The software-turned-creative-app company debuted it at this week’s annual Adobe MAX Conference, and from what we can tell, it looks like a godsend for UX designers.

It’s early days for Project Comet, which will roll out in 2016, but it’s essentially a website- and app-building tool with WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) capabilities, so that designers can glide between wireframing, working on interface design, and prototyping, all in one digital place. Right now, that’s not what they’re doing.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
If you’ve ever designed an app or a web site, chances are good that you’ve had to make rows and columns of similarly constructed but still varied labels, images, avatars, text fields etc.

Historically this is a problem that has been solved—imperfectly—through smart objects or symbols, and also tedious manual spacing and image placement on the part of the designer. Instead of merely following the prior art, the team asked itself if there was a better answer—what if they could make almost everything automatic? What if they could compress what can literally take dozens of steps down to just two or three?

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Source: Wired

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Adobe’s answer is Repeat Grid, a feature built into Project Comet that lets designers create one set of elements—like a text and image box—and then copy it again and again, as needed. This condenses some of the repetitive and time-consuming work needed to build any basic site or app, freeing designers to experiment more, iterate more, and create more.

All of your grid components will switch to using Flex Box without you needing to mess with any other settings at all.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cards Are In
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Bootstrap 4 is waving goodbye to wells, thumbnails and panels and replacing them with one all-encompassing superior feature: Cards.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Cards act as a sort of content container and allow you to easily create headers, footers, contextual background colours and tons of different types of content. The 50 MB limit was left over from the launch of the Android Market (later renamed to the Play Store).

Back in 2012, Google added a workaround for developers that still required them to keep their app's apk below 50 MB, but allowed them to include up to two "expansion files" (i.e. obb files) that can be as large as 2 GB each. Executable code was to remain in the apk while the obb files were meant for extremely large resources like maps, audio, video, and whatever else couldn't realistically fit into the core app.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

With the new limit in place, developers can build their apps to the size they need to be, rather than cutting corners on resources or pushing a few megabytes of leftovers into expansion files. Keep in mind that this change won't really make apps any larger, it'll just make it less of a hassle for developers to package them. Google has been sending out apks that exceed the 50 MB limit for quite a while, like certain variants of the Chrome for Android web browser which can weigh in at about 70 MB.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

PHP 7 also comes with new version of the Zend Engine, with features such as consistent 64-bit support, removal of old and unsupported SAPIs and extensions, and a combined comparison Operator (<=>).

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Let’s learn more about these PHP 7 features:
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
1. The problem of Return Types would come to an end

With the release of PHP 7, you’ll now be able to indicate appropriate return types on functions in the form displayed below:

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">function foo(): array {

return [];

}
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">2. The all-new Combined Comparison Operator
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Also known as the spaceship operator, the Combined Comparison Operator <=> serves as a brilliant addition to PHP. It works just like strcmp() or the version_compare() functions returning -1 in case the left operand is smaller than the right one, 1 in case the left is greater than the right one and 0 in case both are equal. One of the greatest advantages of Combined Comparison operator is that it can be conveniently used any two operands(floats, integers, arrays etc.) and not just the strings. Have a look at how the Combined Comparison Operator is used in sorting callbacks:

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">// Pre Spacefaring^W PHP 7

function order_func($x, $y) {

return ($x < $y) ? -1 : (($x > $y) ? 1 : 0);

}

// Post PHP 7

function order_func($x, $y) {

return $x <=> $y;

}

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">3. This service will create a new source of revenue over time that supplements your advertising revenue. That’s why an overwhelming majority of our partners — representing over 95% of YouTube watchtime — have asked for and signed up for this service.

As you heard in our previous emails, we want to ensure that fans who choose to pay for an ads-free experience can watch all the same videos that are available on the ads-supported experience. That outcome would be a loss for YouTube, a loss for the thriving presence you’ve built on the platform, and above all, a loss for your fans. The giant social network encourages civil interactions among its 1.5 billion users.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; font-size: large;">But don't expect the "dislike" button to work like the downvote button on sites such as Reddit. Rather, it provides a better option in cases where friends and family paste bad news, like a death in the family or a natural disaster. "What they really want is the ability to express empathy," wrote Business Insider. "Not every moment is a good moment."
